General Description

The Youth Director position is generally responsible for Venture Church activities involving 7th through 12th grade members, their friends, and other youth that may be reached for Christ through this program. The youth director will report to the lead pastor, and will also take some direction from the Pastor’s Council.

As a minimum, the Youth Director needs to demonstrate the following:

  • A personal commitment to Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord as well as a strong desire to serve within the church.
  • A lifestyle commitment that is consistent with the Christian life as well as a good example to the youth.

  • The ability to protect the reputation and integrity of others through strict confidentiality. Refraining from indiscriminately sharing personal information is critical. Discretion must be exercised when dealing with the public, youth and their parents, and the church’s leaders and members.

Candidates should note that any job offer is contingent upon satisfactory completion of drug and background testing.
